Description:
This is work administering psychological services to an adult population at Northeast Florida State Hospital, as a Florida licensed psychologist.
Duties & Responsibilities/Examples of Work:
• Provides individual and group psychotherapy services, psychosocial rehabilitation, and functional skills training to assigned residents, in support of treatment excellence.
• Administers and interprets psychological assessments and evaluations for assigned residents. Assessments and evaluations may include psychological tests. Provides written summaries of findings.
• Maintains records, reports, data bases, and summaries for assigned residents.
• Attends assigned Service Implementation Plan meetings as the psychologist member of the treatment team. Provides information to the treatment team regarding psychological based data and participates with other team members in formulating and writing treatment plans.
• Consults with ward staff and other professional disciplines in the application of treatment programs to assigned residents.
• Attends hospital, community, state and national professional meetings, lectures, staff conferences continuing education seminars and conventions. Disseminates pertinent information hospital wide.
• Performs related duties as assigned by the Director of Psychology, in support of customer satisfaction and treatment excellence.
• Provides clinical instruction to psychology interns and practicum students.
Minimum Qualifications:
• A doctorate from an accredited college or university in psychology, one year of supervised internship experience in professional / health service psychology, one year of postdoctoral residency in psychology and licensure as a Psychologist in the State of Florida.
