This advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Region 1 Office of Community Corrections.
Salary: $41,097.16 - $43,260.36 Annual Range
SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Researches, prepares analysis, and coordinates reports for the Regional Director for special projects as assigned.
- Prepares consolidated responses from requested entities and ensures all deadlines provided are met on a timely basis.
- Receives and handles incoming correspondence for Regional Director. Composes replies not requiring the personal attention of the Regional Director. Independently composes and signs letters of acknowledgment and notification for the Regional Director.
- Takes incoming calls for the Regional Director, screen calls and researches/provides analysis to provide the necessary information to caller in those instances where the Regional Director’s personal attention is not required.
- Prepares agendas and documents for Regional Director’s meetings, prepares minutes in final form for distribution. Maintains Regional Director’s calendar and itinerary and schedules meetings, conferences and appointment and keeps the Regional Director informed. Makes travel arrangements, prepares expense vouchers and expense reports.
- Researches and prepares management reports, spreadsheets and inventories as directed by the Regional Director for review and information. Obtains, researches, analyzes and organizes substantive information for use by the Regional Director for conferences, meetings, speeches, etc.
- Maintains a comprehensive electronic suspense filing system.
- Prepares documents and communication for central office Public Affairs.
- Assists the Regional Director in the preparation for presentations, by organizing, preparing, and editing Power Points.
- Maintains staff rosters and contact information and will perform certain emergency management functions as directed by the Regional Director.
- Assists Field Office Manager with Finance & Accounting tasks and responsibilities as directed.
- Assists Human Resource Consultant with personnel tasks and responsibilities to include recruiting efforts and hiring process, working as a liaison with personnel for recruiting and hiring of positions in community corrections as directed.
- Assists and provides support for the Regional Academies as directed.
- Coordinates and completes projects and special assignments as assigned by the Regional Director.
- Reviews and provides routine reports as necessary to support the field. Prepares and analyzes quality assurance reports utilized to monitor compliance with Florida Statutes and Department procedures.
- Plans, initiates and carries to completion administrative and office management responsibilities. Ensures all deadlines are met on a timely basis.
- Assists with Court Ordered Payments exceptions and ability to assist Regional Probation and Parole Specialists as back up when needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or it’s equivalent.
- Valid Driver License
