Position Summary
This is a position under the Division of Operations created as General Services Specialist. Its primary purpose is implementing and providing operational and administrative coordination of general services functions of the Warehouse at Sunland Center in the areas of purchasing, supply inventory, property, basis in the areas of purchasing and supply inventory or real property management.
The Work You Will Do
Supervise the operation of the warehouse and all staff on a daily and on-going basis. This is to include but not limited to assisting storekeepers in normal warehouse operations. Help unload and stock all types of supplies and maintaining an electronic database for all inventory and reorders required to keep Sunland operating on a daily and on-going basis. Monitor job performance and evaluate employees within established timeframes per policy and procedure. Approve leave and manage coverage for Warehouse; approve timesheets at the end of each pay period.
Supervise the maintenance of a backorder system assuring that all items are released as items are received. Supervises the calculation of any average unit price changes. Reviews all item adjustment transaction documents and obtains proper approval as required by C&F Manual 45-1. Responsible for compiling and distribution of supply catalog to each department head for the purpose of aiding the departments in requesting supplies. Responsible of all equipment and tools assigned to the warehouse.
Make daily safety checks to ensure proper use and care of all equipment, expedite all repairs and parts needed to keep the forklift and jacks operating properly. Conducts physical inventory of store items on a periodic basis. Inspects direct issue hematology controls and laboratory reagents to supply/maintain lab testing equipment, ensuring that all items are identified and received in accordance with the purchase order.
Supervise and manages the maintenance of files and supply accountability records for issues, receipts, stock levels, item adjustments, purchase orders, and all correspondence. Also maintains files of all recommended reorder/purchase requisitions. Reviews and approves the calculations of requisitioning objectives, reorder points, safety levels, average monthly recurring demands, and procurement lead times, to ensure compliance.
Acts as approving authority for all stock replenishment requisitions forwarded to purchasing for action. Reviews all request for non-stocked items for possible substitution and supervise the establishment of records for these items. Approves the stock age of new items in supply based on established criteria.
Supervises the review of supply records to determine excess supplies and proper action to be taken to reduce excesses. Also, supervises the reporting, disposal, and certification of unserviceable supplies.
Completes all assigned staff training deemed mandatory.
Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- At least one year of supervisory experience over employees.
- At least one year of experience working with My Florida Market Place (MFMP).
- At least one year of experience working with FLEETWAVE and FLAIR the State of Florida Property Management systems

Background Screening Requirement
