SALARY RANGE
$45,060.11 - $49,566.14 Annually $1,733.08 - $1,906.39 Bi-weekly
The hiring salary may exceed the maximum posted salary.
Position Summary
This position operates under the working title of Quality & Compliance Support Specialist and performs highly responsible, independent work assignments in the Quality Services Department under the direction of the Quality Services Director. The position supports organizational quality improvement initiatives through operating procedure management, data analysis, quality assurance activities, risk management support, and management of critical organizational systems.
The Work You Will Do
Serves as the lead facilitator for the development, review, and revision of Operating Procedures (OPs) and Instructional Memorandums (IMs). Works collaboratively with Office of Primary Responsibility Owners (OPROs) to ensure assigned documents are completed within established timelines. Reviews final drafts to ensure clarity, accuracy, consistency, compliance with grammar and formatting standards, and adherence to Agency for Persons with Disabilities and Sunland Center requirements. Coordinates responses to administrative and State Office review comments and maintains all electronic tracking systems, archives, and official signed records.
Responsible for overall management of Sunland resident census and other related data systems including prompt system updates following events resulting in data changes and strict adherance to routine (i.e., monthly) and ad hoc report submission deadlines. Routinely evaluates data integrity, reporting processes, and system efficiencies; identifies opportunities for improvement; and coordinates the development and implementation of corrective actions and process enhancements.
Provides backup support to the Risk Manager by preparing and submitting Critical and Reportable incident reports in accordance with established requirments and timelines, maintaining incident tracking systems, and facilitating incident review meetings.
Serves as a quality assurance (QA) team member conducting scheduled and other assigned QA audits of programs, services, records, and operational processes within Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID).
Provides backup support to the Workers’ Compensation Coordinator by processing case management documentation, coordinating correspondence with case managers, claims adjusters, and departmental leadership, maintaining electronic records, and ensuring timely completion of required Workers’ Compensation activities.
Performs other related duties as assigned, including committee and workgroup membership representing the Quality Services Department and Sunland Center.
Is considered essential personnel in times of emergency/disaster.
Minimum Qualifications
- Preferred; bachelor’s degree or higher education
- At least one (1) year of experience utilizing database and spreadsheet software to maintain, analyze and report data
- At least two (2) years of experience developing professional documents such as reports, policies, procedures, or technical guidance documents.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Knowledge of current federal and state regulations, standards, and requirements governing Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID).
Knowledge of quality assurance, risk management, performance improvement, and compliance monitoring principles and practices.
Skill in utilizing computerized data management systems and advanced Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Power BI, for data analysis, reporting, and presentation development.
Skill in strategic thinking, problem solving, process improvement, and organizational planning.
Skill in researching, interpreting, and applying laws, regulations, policies, and operational requirements to the development and revision of operating procedures, instructional memorandums, and related guidance documents.
Ability to collect, analyze, interpret, and present data; identify trends and areas for improvement; develop findings and recommendations; and prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for management review.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, including the preparation of professional correspondence, reports, and procedures.
Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple assignments and projects simultaneously while meeting established deadlines.
Ability to facilitate workgroups, collaborate with stakeholders across organizational levels, and coordinate activities involving multiple departments and program areas.
Ability to exercise independent judgment, maintain confidentiality, and make sound decisions consistent with agency policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

Background Screening Requirement
