<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Description

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Responsible for installing and repairing all utility equipment necessary to keep Sunland operating on a daily basis.  This is to include but not limited to compressors, fans, pumps, generators, chillers, washers, dryers, plumbing, and other related equipment on a daily and on-going basis.  Perform a full paint program including all paint preparation, painting all exterior and interior walls, staining, painting signs, autos, sanding and finishing sheetrock daily by following standard maintenance protocol within the time frame designated by supervisor.

 

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Maintain and carry out a full preventative maintenance program in relationship to the buildings at Sunland.  Example but not limited to repairing, installing and changing window panes, repairing and cleaning roofs and gutters, wash walls, clean and paint  rooms any task deemed necessary to preserve the life of the building on a daily and ongoing basis.  Keep all preventative maintenance records deemed mandatory up to date.

 

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Do preventative maintenance on all utility equipment at Sunland which includes but not limited to inspecting and repairing of piping, pumps air handlers, compressors, installing and maintaining and repairing valves, sinks, wash bowls, sewers, replacing a/c filters, etc. Keep all applicable preventative maintenance records up to date.  Perform any task to keep the equipment clean, operating and safe on a daily and on-going basis.

 

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The position will be required to work shift hours as needed.  Shift hours will include evenings, weekends and holiday hours.

 

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Maintain tool control and tool control logs.  Process work orders.

 

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Perform other related duties as required.

 

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Complete all assigned staff training deemed mandatory

 

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Minimum Requirements

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Valid driver's license.

 

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Two years of experience in the maintenance and repair of buildings, plumbing or electrical or mechanical equipment; or <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Vocational/technical training in mechanical repair or one of the building trades can substitute at the rate of 720 classroom hours.

 

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Knowledge, skills, and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for the position:

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Knowledge of the principles and techniques of the skilled building trades or mechanical repair work.

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Knowledge of safety procedures required in maintenance and repair work.

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Skill in using tools and equipment in maintenance and repair work.

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to perform a variety of skilled trades functions.

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to read blueprints.

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to install, maintain and repair electric motors, generators and other mechanical equipment.

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to take accurate measurements.

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to follow instructions.

 

 

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT:
