$40,491.36- $44,540.60 Annually            $1,557.36 - $1,713.10 Bi-weekly

 

Position Summary

 This is a position under the Division of Operations created as Maintenance Supervisor II. Its primary purpose is to supervise and assist the staff assigned in all utility equipment, and construction of but not limited to carpentry, masonry, electrical, refrigeration and plumbing, locks, lock systems, keys, doors, windows, etc. new construction and all other related repairs and projects to keep Sunland operating on a daily and on-going basis. It is housed in the Maintenance Department.

 

The Work You Will Do 

This is a position under the Division of Operations created as Maintenance Supervisor II. Its primary purpose is to supervise and assist the staff assigned in all utility equipment, and construction of but not limited to carpentry, masonry, electrical, refrigeration and plumbing, locks, lock systems, keys, doors, windows, etc. new construction and all other related repairs and projects to keep Sunland operating on a daily and on-going basis. It is housed in the Maintenance Department.

 

Supervise the daily duties and activities of worker engaged in the carpenter and cabinet shop operations.  Supervise the labor force needed to complete minor construction projects.  Figure cost estimates, material take-offs.  Schedule of values needed to complete construction projects.  Assign priorities; assist in requisitions and obtaining necessary supplies to complete assigned task.  Prepare performance evaluations on all subordinate employees according to established policy.  Serve as a worker in all these areas as needed on a daily and on-going basis. Monitor, in-service, motivate and direct staff in areas of job performance. Complete employee’s performance evaluations and performance expectations within established timeframes as required.

 

Assist Utilities Supervisor UP in the preparation and application of a full preventative program on all the buildings and equipment here at Sunland.  This will be done on a daily and on-going basis.

 

Assist Utilities Supervisor UP in prioritizing daily assignments, preparation of request, reports, obtaining material, and supplies.  Keeping abreast of new and improved methods of operation.  Maintain a tool inventory on all tools and equipment assigned to this position.

 

Perform all other related duties as required

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Preferred: At least two years of experience supervising staff.
  • Preferred: At least two years of experience in carpentry or facility maintenance.
  • Preferred: Capability of scheduling and performing daily work tasks with subordinates.

 

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Knowledge of the procedures and methods used in the repair and maintenance of wooden structures, plumbing and other equipment.

•Skill in using hand, power, and bench tools.

•Skill in repairing and maintaining wooden structures, including furniture and fixtures.

•Skill in performing brick and cement work.

•Skill in performing electrical repairs.

•Skill in painting surfaces.

•Ability to supervise people.

•Ability to maintain the cleanliness of buildings and grounds.

•Ability to determine work priorities, assign work and ensure proper completion of work assignments.

•Ability to communicate effectively.

•Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
