Description

Delivers food trays and snacks to resident houses (approximately 18) for each meal in accordance to predetermined time and route schedule.  Lifts, carries and places heavy (approximately 42#) food trays and dishes in the transport from food service to houses.  Retrieves soiled dishes and trays from all houses, as well as any of food service dishware that may have been left at the houses’ kitchen.  Assist in the preparation of trays and load on to the food truck for delivery and whatever task deemed necessary to keep Sunland’s delivery system operating on a daily and ongoing basis.

 

Assist in cleaning and sanitizing the food service department, this is to include but is not limited to washes, dries and fold laundry on a daily and ongoing basis.

 

Assists in washing pots and pans following established procedures using a 3-compartment sink on a daily and ongoing basis.

 

Is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing floors, tray machine, food truck and hall after each meal.  Ensures back docks are kept cleaned at all times along with the pavement and grounds surrounding the truck area where the trucks are parked on a daily and ongoing basis.  Delime tray machine once a week on Tuesdays.

 

Safely drives assigned motor vehicle.  Totally responsible for assuring maintenance of vehicles and mule, with daily safety check of lights, brakes, oil level and gas fill-up.  Ensures vehicle logs are completed daily and turned in to the store’s supervisor by the 3rd of each month.  Trucks are to be filled with gasoline every Friday afternoon before end of working shift.

 

Maintain a current valid driver’s license.

 

Exhibits a positive work attitude in working with all people, residents, co-workers, management, and community on a daily and ongoing basis.  This includes completing all assigned staff training deemed mandatory on a daily and ongoing basis.

 

Performs other related duties as required.

 

Maintain timesheet, ensuring accuracy and submit timely in accordance with policy and procedure.

 

Completes all required training.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Valid driver's license

 

Experience, education, and/or training used to meet the minimum qualifications and in response to the qualifying questions must be verifiable through information contained in your application.

 

This position may be required to perform essential services before, during, and after an emergency per APD OP 2-0035.

 

This position is critical to the safety and supervision of residents and may require the incumbent to work beyond their normal work schedule to maintain minimum coverage levels in the facility.
