Our Organization and Mission:
The five Regional Counsel offices were created by the Legislature pursuant to Section 27.511, Fla. Stat. in 2007 to provide legal representation to indigent persons in criminal conflict cases where the Public Defender has a conflict or in cases where there are multiple co-defendants. The Regional Counsel Office, Fifth Region serves 4 judicial circuits and 13 counties, including Marion County.
Dependency Attorney- RC5 is seeking a full time dependency attorney in Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida. The position involves representing parents and litigating dependency and termination of parental rights cases. The position also includes representing elderly, and minor clients in Guardianship, Marchman Act cases, and other civil proceedings. No experience needed. Must be a member in good standing with the Florida Bar or registered to take the February 2025 Bar Exam. To apply, please send a resume, and cover letter by email to Michael C. Starting Salary – $71,000.00 and up and also negotiable depending on experience
