POSITION DESCRIPTION: Perform project management duties for inspection contracts. Monitor the work program budget for inspection contracts. Coordinate with consultants and others to meet the inspection requirements. Maintain communication with the brisge owners and maintaining agencies.

 

Serves as a liason and/or advisor to management, staff, consultants and government agencies on matters related to structures inspection. Participates in the Feasible Action Review Committee (FARC) meetings.

Manage the District Structures Maintenance Electronic Data Management Sytem (EDMS).

 

Performs Quality Assurance Reviews to inspections performed by consultants according with the District Quality Control Plan.

 

Manage the District Local Government and Ancillaries Structures location maps and inspection file records.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: KNOWLEDGEABLE OF BRIDGE AND ANCILLIARY STRUCTURE INSPECTION STANDARDS; KNOWLEDGEABLE OF AND SKILLED IN CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION PROGRAM; KNOWLEDGEABLE OF AND SKILLED AT WORKING WITH CURRENT COMPUTER SOFTWARE AT AN INTERMEDIATE LEVEL; KNOWLEDGEABLE AND SKILLED AT READING AND INTERPRETING PLANS; KNOWLEDGEABLE AND SKILLED AT PRIORITIZING WORK LOADS; KNOWLEDGEABLE OF AND SKILLED IN CUSTOMER SERVICE TECHNIQUES; SKILLED IN WRITING AND SPEAKING THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE ON A COMPREHENSIBLE LEVEL TO COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC, WORK CONTACTS AND CO¬WORKERS.

 

OTHER JOB RELATED REQUIREMENTS: DURING A DECLARED EMERGENCY EVENT, THE INCUMBENT WILL BE REQUIRED TO ASSIST THE DISTRICT AS NEEDED.. Responsible for adhering to the Provisions and Requirements of Section 215.422, Florida Statute (FS) Related State Comptroller's Rules and Department of Transportation's Invoice Processing and Warrant Distribution Procedures. .

 

RESPONSIBLE FOR ADHERING TO THE PROVISIONS AND REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 215.422, FLORIDA STATUTE (FS) RELATED STATE COMPTROLLER'S RULES AND DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION'S INVOICE PROCESSING AND WARRANT DISTRIBUTION PROCEDURES.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A High School diploma or GED and 12 months experience in bridge inspection, bridge repair, bridge or highway construction, bridge or highway design, and/or contract administration.

 

As a CANDIDATE, you may be required to provide documentation (i.e. HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENCY, college transcripts, ETC.) to verify meeting these Minimum Qualifications.

 

A Competitive Area Differential (CAD) additive in the amount of $1,976.00 will be added to the annual salary.
