District Aide (District 113)

General Summary:

State Representative Vicki Lopez is now accepting applications in her Miami, Florida office to assist with a variety of administrative and public relations matters requiring a thorough understanding of the policies, procedures, and operating practices of the Florida Legislature.

Salary:  Annual $47,364

Excellent employee benefits. This position is eligible for virtual work. All virtual district employees must reside and work virtually in Florida.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Knowledge and application of House Rules, Protocol, House-specific Applications, House Administrative Policies and the Legislature’s Joint Policies and Procedures.
2. Constituent Management
3. Day-to-day Operations: Monthly Bills, Office Files, Office Property, Office Supplies, Office Communications
4. Prepare Monthly and Quarterly Reports
5. Manage Office Expense Accounts and Travel System
6. Required Legislative Filings
7. Municipal, County, and Regional Issues Related to the District
8. Community and Public Outreach
9. Mandatory Trainings as Assigned

• Municipal, County, and Regional Issues Related to the District

Minimum Qualifications:

An Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university and two years of administrative experience; or a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.

Professional administrative experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
