Your Specific Responsibilities:
This position provides independent support to the 16 WIC locations in Miami Dade County. Ensuring the WIC locations receive supplies, equipment’s, administrative and educational forms, and material needed to assist the WIC clients. Assists with the maintenance of equipment, furniture, fixtures as well as minor facilities repairs and moving.
Receive, sorts the materials, and supplies and reports discrepancies to the purchasing agent.
Unpacks and stores supplies and materials in the assigned shelves as per warehouse store map observing safety shelving storage procedure.
Routes special orders to the appropriate unit or person. Maintains the appropriate records for the units.
Packs weekly administrative forms and materials, nutrition education pamphlets and office supplies for delivery to the units according to the supply lists request.
Receives, sorts, and organizes special formula supply. Distribute to appropriate personnel for processing. Sort and process packing slips forms enabling the receiving and delivery process.
Inventories on hand supplies, nutrition education pamphlets, administrative forms, and equipment’s. Recommends reorder as needed. Assists with inventories of Special formula.
Prioritizes work assignments. Performs related work as required including specialized work assignments. Delivers supplies and special formula to units when necessary.
Completes minor repairs/maintenance for units. Including anthropometric equipment calibration and installation, and unit’s move.
Performs other related duties as downloading supplies from the trucks and organizing them in the warehouse shelves. Operates and maintains tools and equipment’s as needed (pallet jacks, dollies, drills, etc.) Assists WIC Fiscal office staff with monthly Food Instruments delivery & preparation.
Assists with the physical inventory reconciliation of equipment’s, special formula, office supplies & pamphlets.
Oversee WIC warehouse cleaning and organization. Including but not limited to office garbage removal, sweeping of the office floors and air blowing dust and leaf from the warehouse areas.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to use a computer. Knowledge of record keeping procedures. Ability to receive, sort & verify supplies.
Must be able to lift 50-100 pounds. Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in Spanish and English is preferred.
Ability to prepare/execute work orders.
Ability to analyze data, solve problems independently and complete arithmetic calculations. Ability to be discrete and maintain strict confidentiality.
Ability to communicate verbal information effectively to individuals and/or group of individuals.
Ability to use tools. Ex: drills, hammers, pallet jacks, dollies, etc.
Ability to enter data quickly and accurately into computerized database.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Ability to initiate, work independently, highly organized, and attentive to details.
Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Ability to operate general office equipment.
Qualifications:
Minimum – valid driver’s license, able to lift 50 to 100 pounds, experience maintaining inventories.
Preferred – Incumbent in this position is preferred to be bilingual in English/Spanish.
