Your Specific Responsibilities:

This is a professional position in the HIV/STD Program. The primary responsibilities of this position are to work in collaboration with the local area and statewide planning bodies on planning activities.  This position reports to the HIV/AIDS Program Coordinator.

 

The incumbent will serve as the local planning coordinator for the Miami Dade Integrated HIV Care and Prevention Plan and Ending the HIV Epidemic (EtHE) Jurisdictional Plan. The position will guide and support the local Prevention Planning Committee and the Joint Committee of the Miami Dade HIV/AIDS Partnership in developing goals, areas of focus and timelines for the committee’s tasks, including its committees to develop and implement local area needs assessments, review data, monitor and evaluate plan implementation. Provide consultation and technical assistance to the Florida Comprehensive Planning Network FCPN subcommittees, Community HIV Advisory Group, and other ad-hoc workgroups.

 

The Coordinator, in collaboration with senior management and EtHE team members, will be responsible for monitoring implementation of required strategies, activities, and outcomes associated with this initiative. Develop a comprehensive program of community engagement that includes the use of social media and other technologies to assure partnership with local communities most heavily impacted by HIV in the development of acceptable approaches and programmatic activities to end the HIV epidemic. Convene meeting to review proposed activities in the EtHE plan and to assess feasibility of programmatic implementation. Assist in the development of draft plan principles, goals, objectives, and monitoring framework.

 

Track, record and prepare reports on program implementation and evaluation efforts. Participate in the dissemination of program implementation and impact data to stakeholders. Advises other organizations and the public regarding the jurisdictional plan activities, planning, development and outreach capabilities and activities.

 

Provides leadership and expertise on HIV prevention related policy issues. Advise the HIV/AIDS program during strategic planning to align activities with the jurisdictional plan and EHE efforts in the county. 

 

Review, approve and submit providers' reports in CTLS. Provide TA and CAB to EHE providers in the community.

Update the VMSG data base with integrate plan activities.  Ensure staff submit updates in VMSG.  Use VMSG to track activities associated with the integrated plan.

 

Chair the local prevention planning group and participate in the Miami Dade Partnership.  Represents Area 11A at the statewide Prevention Planning Group (PPG) 

 

Perform other relate duties as needed.
