ASSISTANT STATE ATTORNEY, LEGAL DIVISION
MIAMI-DADE STATE ATTORNEY’S OFFICE, 11TH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT
We currently have openings in the Legal Division. The Legal Division of the Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s Office provides pretrial and trial support for the Assistant State Attorneys in the office. Responsibilities include researching and providing legal authority support for assistants in court; writing motions on investigative, pretrial and trial issues; handling post-conviction motions and extradition issues; reviewing court rulings for potential appeals; and oral argument on motions and attending trials of complex cases to assist trial prosecutors when assigned. Training will be provided as necessary for extraditions and related matters. Minimum 3 years of extensive criminal experience required, with appellate experience preferred as excellent writing skills are necessary. Membership in the Florida Bar is also required.
