Your Specific Responsibilities:
This is a responsible Accountant I position reporting to the Public Health Services Manager of the Florida Department of Health in Santa Rosa County (FDOH in Santa Rosa County). The incumbent performs, with minimal supervision, a wide variety of complex accounting functions involving the application of accounting concepts in accordance with established policies and procedures, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS). This position is subject to time constraints and must be performed with a high rate of accuracy. Key responsibilities include: 1) Serves as Accounts Payable Liaison for FDOH in Santa Rosa County; 2) Acts as Fiscal Level Approver (Level 008 Approver) for all Purchasing Card (P-Card) Transactions, 3) Acts as the Purchasing Card Liaison between CHD staff and the Central Office, 4) Other tasks. The employee must be able to use independent judgment and initiative as well as interact professionally with clients, vendors, staff, and the public. Essential accounting functions are described as follows:
Organize all deposits, scan, label, file on the One Drive for current and prior year.
Schedule C Analysis of current year for all 67 county health departments: what is other CHD's getting compared to Santa Rosa.
Fee Schedule Analysis:
Review Fiscal Folder to Organize it - for better use. Rename to Finance.
Scan all Santa Rosa County Health Department contracts in Finance Folder
Other projects as they arise in finance.
Other duties as assigned include but not limited to attending trainings, in-services, and outreaches as assigned.
