The mission of the RBNERR is to provide a basis for informed stewardship of estuaries in Southwest Florida through research and education.
The best qualified candidate for the Education and Training Specialist will possess the knowledge, skills, and experience required for the successful daily operations of RBNERR.

The Education and Training Specialist is a core member of the Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (RBNERR).
The National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) provides funding to state governments and universities to administer the National Estuarine Research Reserves (NERRs) currently implemented at 30 locations around the coastal United States and its territories.
The Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (RBNERR), located in Naples, Florida was designated in 1978 as the third NERR in the nation due to its outstanding natural features including pristine mangrove forests and barrier islands.

Pay:
$20.00 per hour - 29 hours per week.
Your Specific Responsibilities:
Conduct educational activities associated with, but not limited to, the development and delivery of field trip programs at the Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve Environmental Learning Center (ELC) and field locations
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and the public.
Work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Plan, coordinate and manage complex work assignments.
Work independently as well as in teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year of experience working in an outdoor environmental education setting.
1 year of experience educating students (grades 4-12)
Adept in public speaking, group facilitation and program coordination.
Knowledge of educational program development and the ability to design and deliver high quality interpretive programs to a variety of audiences.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, OneDrive
