Position Overview and Responsibilities:
Conduct educational activities associated with, but not limited to, the development and delivery of field trip programs at the Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve Environmental Learning Center (ELC) and field locations
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and the public.
Work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Plan, coordinate and manage complex work assignments.
Work independently as well as in teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Driver’s License
Position of Special Trust Requirement:
This position is designated as a Position of Special Trust in accordance with DEP Directive 422, Positions of Special Trust or Responsibility. Successful completion of background screening will be required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year of experience working in an outdoor environmental education setting.
1 year of experience educating students (grades 4-12)
Adept in public speaking, group facilitation and program coordination.
Knowledge of educational program development and the ability to design and deliver high quality interpretive programs to a variety of audiences.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, OneDrive
Pay:
$20.00 per hour - 40 hours per week.
