General Summary

State Representative Dotie Joseph is now accepting applications in her North Miami, Florida office to assist with a variety of administrative and public relations matters requiring a thorough understanding of the policies, procedures, and operating practices of the Florida Legislature.


The Legislature offers a competitive benefits package. This position is not eligible for remote work.

Primary Responsibilities

 

  1. Knowledge and application of House Rules, Protocol, House-specific Applications, House Administrative Policies and the Legislature’s Joint Policies and Procedures.
  2. Constituent Management 
  3. Day-to-day Operations: Monthly Bills, Office Files, Office Property, Office Supplies, Office Communications
  4. Prepare Monthly and Quarterly Reports
  5. Manage Office Expense Accounts and Travel System
  6. Required Legislative Filings
  7. Municipal, County, and Regional Issues Related to the District
  8. Community and Public Outreach
  9. Mandatory Trainings as Assigned

Minimum Qualifications

 

An Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university and two years of administrative experience.

Professional administrative experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
