Your Specific Responsibilities:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Any combination equivalent to: Bachelor's Degree with course work in computer science, educational technology, or a related field, course work or certificate in Web/SharePoint page development & design, and at least two years of demonstrated Web/SharePoint page development and design experience.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Administer, design, implement and maintain the official Marion County Department of Health Web/SharePoint sites.

Prepare Web/SharePoint pages using the current tools for content management and Web/SharePoint scripting languages.

Serve as primary resource to ensure that DOH Marion Web/SharePoint-based accessibility standards for the disabled are met.

Work with administrative personnel for the creation, design and implementation of Web/SharePoint pages.

Act as a primary contact person for user questions related to the functionality of the DOH Marion Web/SharePoint/SharePoint sites and assist in analyzing problems and/or debugging.

Communicate with staff to resolve problems, research solutions, consult with vendors, and prepare documentation.

 

Act as backup support technician to the Information Technology team.

Demonstrate and utilize excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Utilize strong graphic design skills and abilities.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS

Provide design input, implementation and maintenance of Web/SharePoint-based instructional activities.

Implement and maintain Web/SharePoint-based multi-media, including audio, video and software tools.

Administer, maintain, and provide faculty and staff assistance for use and operation of institutionally-adopted/supported applications of software and operating systems.

Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve issues with supported applications.

Monitor and report progress of projects.

Attend job-related courses and seminars to maintain state-of-the-art technological knowledge, particularly as applied to curriculum, instruction and Web/SharePoint pages.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Manage, design, and develop Web/SharePoint sites.
  • Use a variety of software proficiently (e.g., word processing, graphics, presentation, spreadsheet, database, multimedia authoring tools, etc.) in Windows.
  • Operate and install software.
  • Understand and independently carry out oral and written instructions. Apply task analysis methodologies.
  • Analyze user needs for online software use. Prioritize tasks and projects using established criteria and meet scheduled time lines.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Learn, interpret, and successfully apply policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Maintain currency of qualifications for area of assignment.
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum - 

At least 1 year of experience in Web Design and Maintenance

 

Preferred - 

Microsoft SharePoint and Maintenance Skills

IT Support experience
