Business Development Specialist- Turnpike Enterprise - Administration

 

This position will coordinate, monitor and report on Florida’s Turnpike small business utilization and will contribute to the agency by developing reports, trends, and accomplishments for the Turnpike Business Development Enterprise (BDE) department.

Your Specific Responsibilities:

Works under supervision Turnpike Small Business Development Manager and develop reports, trends and accomplishments for the Turnpike Business Development Enterprise (BDE) department. Coordinates, monitors and reports on Florida’s Turnpike small business utilization. Analyze working contracts to determine Small Business participation. Coordinate administrative activities of the Business Development Enterprise department. Prepare for networking events, public presentations and webinars.

 

Analyze Turnpike Enterprise's contracts to identify upcoming procurement and contract opportunities. Develop and analyze metrics to measure small business outreach initiatives. Develop and maintain Business Development Enterprise directory. Educates potential small businesses on how to participate in procurement and contracting processes. Assists potential vendors with the State of Florida vendor registration process on My Florida Marketplace.

 

Conducts research and obtains information for Turnpike Small Business Development Manager; provides responses to surveys, inquiries and other requests, prepares reports for meetings and conferences, develops and makes presentations. Track and maintain detailed records of communication sent to small businesses. Assists additional program areas with small business program efforts. Participate in conferences, trade fairs, and matchmaker events throughout the state to identify qualified small businesses) and to support the external marketing of Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise. Assist with planning and executing Townhalls and networking events.

 

Assist with reporting Title VI complaints to Equal Opportunity Office and training Turnpike staff in how to assess risk. Ensure the accuracy of BDE external website and SharePoint sites.

 

The Successful Candidate will have the following required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
