STARTING SALARY:  $1,780.37 Bi-Weekly.  In accordance with current spending restrictions, an internal promotion into the position will be filled at the minimum of the pay grade or up to 5% of the employee’s current rate, whichever is higher.

NOTE:  The selected candidate will report directly to Director Mathena.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Serves as the Department's Redirection Liaison. Provide oversight of the day-to-day contractual operations and management of multiple contracts within the region. Ensures the department administered Redirections Services are implemented.

Conduct cost analysis, projections, and trend data. Compiles data and provide weekly reports.

Provides training and technical assistance to the circuits related to contractual providers and coordinates meetings and conference calls. Assist with the implementation of new programs and transition of programs.

Coordinate daily use of the slot utilization and bed management. Tracks Juvenile Probation Officer (JPO) referrals of youth for Redirections Services to the direct service providers and monitors the utilization of both department and Medicaid funding against the contracts. Conducts audits of Juvenile Justice Information System (JJIS) to ensure compliance with contract requirements.

Assists in the development of administrative guidelines, policies, procedures, standards, and regulations to govern the working relationships and responsibilities between the circuits and service providers.

Assist in the development of scopes of service for competitive procurements, negotiated contracts, and amendments and participates on competitive procurement teams.

Participates in various task force workgroups and committees. Prepares project assignments relating to Redirections.

Develops and maintains process for Medicaid services for Medicaid eligible youth. Ensures compliance for authorization. Provides training and technical assistance to region and service providers. Ensures the most accurate utilization of funding and Redirections Services are delivered to all referred youth timely. Monitors services to ensure there is no break in service delivery, regardless of Medicaid eligibility.

Ability to read data, interpret trends, identify problems, develop solutions, and design analyses;

Ability to analyze the effectiveness of service programs;

Knowledge of the concept of juvenile detention alternatives.

Ability to travel.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

A high school diploma or its equivalent.

Valid Driver’s License

 

Preference will be given to Candidate who having the following:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Experience with developing, updating and reviewing Monitoring and Quality Improvement (MQI) Standards

Experience utilizing the Juvenile Justice Information System (JJIS) modules

Experience negotiating or working with the implementation or enforcement of agreements, policies, contracts, or memorandums of understanding.
