MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
•    Current DOH employee.
•    At least 1 year of verifiable Environmental Public Health experience at a State of Florida agency.
•    Emergency Duty


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position coordinates the residential and commercial plan review process for permits located in Orange County and /or establishments regulated by this agency. Maintains a working knowledge of the applicable codes and regulations for all Environmental Public Health programs. Review of plans includes verification of approved wastewater and drinking water as well as ensuring that any applications for Mobile Home Park, Biomedical Waste, Food, Group Care, Tanning, Body Piercing or Tattoo facilities meet all required Health construction standards. This position will ensure that Orange County building plans are processed promptly and will work with the building department to address concerns or delays
Complete and return all paperwork pertaining to job duties legibly and in proper order. This would also include timely submittal of timesheets, mileage, and EARS.
Performs all other duties as required.
Maintains confidentiality and security of records as specified by department regulations and laws. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, INCLUDING UTILIZATION OF EQUIPMENT, REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:

•    Ability to review County residential and commercial building plan applications. 
•    Ability to recognize proper wastewater and drinking water needs per code.
•    Ability to identify other facilities regulated by the Florida Department of Health and ensure these meet statutory requirements for construction.
•    Able to meet the timeframes established by the County for plan review completion.
•    Knowledge of general office procedures and practices.
•    Ability to follow instructions.
•    Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities.
•    Knowledge of information security requirements.
•    Ability to perform other duties as required.
