This is an administrative support position in the Orlando Medicaid Field Office, Bureau of Recipient and Provider Assistance within the Division of Medicaid, Agency for Health Care Administration.  The incumbent in this position assists in planning, developing, and evaluating health program related work and conducting systematic monitoring of work related to human services programs. The incumbent in this position shall maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Florida Medicaid program and the operation of the Medicaid field office. Preference will be given to applicants with documented experience providing customer service and documented experience in reviewing and tracking information.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of methods of compiling, organizing and analyzing data.
  • Knowledge of various software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Windows NT, and Internet Explorer.                    
  • Ability to learn various computer applications necessary to perform job responsibilities.
  • Ability to conduct fact-finding interviews.
  • Ability to conduct interviews.
  • Ability to compile, organize and analyze data.
  • Ability to prepare technical and analytical reports.
  • Ability to provide instruction to others.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

 

MINUMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

  • At least one year of documented computer experience using Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.).
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in the field of health or social services is preferred, and one year of professional work experience in health or social services.
  • Professional work experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the preferred college education.
