Marketing and Public Outreach Manager -Turnpike Enterprise/Communications & Marketing

 

This position will contribute to the agency by managing SunPass Marketing efforts, developing marketing and advertising plans, overseeing and managing the day-to-day activities of statewide public outreach efforts for the development and implementation of managed and express lanes

Your Specific Responsibilities:

Reports to the Communications Director for the following activities:

 

Manages SunPass Marketing efforts including day-to-day management of the Ad Agency consultant contract, development of marketing and advertising plans, completion of all general marketing activities, and development, coordination and review of marketing projects for all toll facilities. Supervise subordinate employee.

 

Coordinates with SunPass Program Director on SunPass customer materials including, SunPass customer letters, emails, invoices, statements, SunPass website and mobile app, customer service scripts, training materials, and other communications. 

 

Oversee and manage the day-to-day activities of statewide public outreach efforts for the development and implementation of managed and express lanes.   Directs the coordination of managed lanes public outreach efforts with all Districts.  Assist with reviewing responses to public inquiries regarding express lanes. 

 

Oversee staff within the office including, identifying work priorities and assignments, maintaining work schedules, motivating employees, ensuring that equipment and training is available, as needed.  Provide periodic annual performance reviews.  Participate in the selection process including screening and hiring consultants.

 

The Successful Candidate will have the following required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

Knowledge of:

  • Transportation planning processes and express lanes

Skills in:

  • the use of a personal computer with a Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to:

  • prepare marketing plans and tools
  • manage multiple assignments and projects efficiently
  • work effectively with other people
  • communicate effectively in verbal and written formats
  • present technical and policy information in non-technical terms in small meetings and in large groups
  • oversee and perform project and contract administrative duties
  • analyze technical and policy information and formulate conclusions
