JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is an OPS (Temporary) highly independent position with the Florida Department of Health in Orange County (DOH-Orange) and will report to the Emergency Operations Program Manager.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, INCLUDING UTILIZATION OF EQUIPMENT, REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:
Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word Outlook, Power Point, TRAIN, HMS, People First, and Internet Navigation.
Skill in driving and operation larger vehicle or trailer, including a van and a bus, not requiring a CDL license.
Experience using warehouse equipment such as a pallet jacks, Forklifts, Generators.
Knowledge of general office procedures and practices, correct grammar usage, basic arithmetic andperform basic arithmetical calculations.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
Knowledge of safety procedures required in maintenance and repair work.
Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities and to follow instructions.
Ability to work outside of normal business hours (including weekends) and to travel.
Ability to work in a warehouse environment using forklifts and conducting maintenance on equipment.
Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, TRAIN, HMS, People First, and Internet Navigation.

Knowledge of Incident Command System, NIMS and basic principles of managing emergencies.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
Knowledge of safety procedures required in maintenance and repair work.
Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities and to follow instructions.
Ability to prepare reports and corresondence and communicate effectively orally and in writing to a diverse population.
Ability to work in a warehouse enfironment using forklifts and conducting maintenance on equipment.
Ability to prepare a variety of written training materials such as lesson plans, curricula, performance ealuations or reports.
Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, TRAIN, HMS, People First, and Internet Navigation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Willing to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Experience developing and maintaining partnership between public, professional and voluntary agencies. Do you have 1 years of experience developing and maintaining partnerships/cooperation between these entities
- Requires maintaining emergency preparedness equipment. Are you willing to work in a warehouse environment and conduct routine maintenance on equipment.
- Require you to create and conduct exercises/drills for staff and partner agencies. Do you have documented experience planning, creating and conducting exercises/drills.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- A current valid Florida Driver’s license is required. The position requires operation of large vehicles and the ability to obtain Emergency Vehicle Operating Certification within 6 months of hire.
- Willing to work before, during, and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency. This may include working in a special needs or Red Cross shelter, or performing other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural. Emergency Duties may also include in-state of out-of-state deployment.
