This position will cover the Central Region DCF territories including the counties of Seminole, Orange, Osceola, Brevard, Polk, Hardee, Highlands, Lake, Marion, Citrus, Hernando, & Sumter.
The candidate must have knowledge of the following programs at DCF: Child Protective Investigations, Case Management/Community Based Care, Domestic Violence, Substance Abuse & Mental Health, Recruitment and Retention, Pre-Service and In-Service Training, Licensing (both Foster Care, and Daycare), Field Support Consultants and Analysts, and community providers that support what we do.
The position will report directly to the Regional Director for Child Protection.
Duties and Responsibilities
This position administers the direct service delivery of the child welfare and protective investigations, and child care programs within the circuit.
Provides leadership in directing the service delivery in the circuit.
Ensures organizational achievement t and compliance with department, region and circuit mandates. Establishes operational and managerial goals and objectives within the circuit.
Develops and maintains effective working relationships with a broad array of organizations and groups with an interest, relationship and/or involvement in department activities and affairs including the Community Alliances established in each county of the circuit. These activities may include serving in an interpretive, liaison or committee capacity.
Ensures compliance with department and region strategic plan objectives, performance-based budgeting measures, federal and state laws, rules and operating procedures.
Reviews and analyzes monthly performance and alerts the Child Welfare & Community Services Director of pertinent implementing issues.
Coordinates on-going review of services delivery and management systems to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
Serves as a member of the region operational leadership team. Plans, directs and coordinates projects, work assignments and services to ensure effective delivery of services to clients.
