SALARY: $17.50 per hour, up to 28 hours per week
DESCRIPTION: The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Circuit and assist the Administrative Assistant II with personnel, purchasing, and general services functions as needed. This position requires initiative, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include coordinating the procurement of commodities and services using Ariba on Demand (AOD); reviewing purchases for compliance with Florida Statutes and Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) policies and procedures; ensuring invoices are accurate and submitted with appropriate supporting documentation; and assisting with employee travel expenditures. The incumbent will also be responsible for processing invoices, requisitions, and purchasing card (p-card) transactions in accordance with established guidelines and timelines. In addition, this position performs front desk and general clerical duties, including answering and directing incoming phone calls, greeting and assisting visitors, managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, and providing courteous and professional customer service to staff, and the public.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a High School Diploma or its equivalent.
Valid driver's license required
At least 1 - 3 years of administrative, secretarial or clerical experience.
Must be able to lift 20lbs.
PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO APPLICANTS WHO:
Have experience with the People First System for Human Resource related functions such as Personnel Actions and Timekeeper responsibilities.
Have experience with purchasing and procurement, processing purchase orders, receiving reports, and State Purchasing Card system.
Have a valid driver’s license.

If initially hired with an out-of-state license, the Florida resident must obtain a valid Florida state driver’s license within 30 days of hire. Successful candidate must be certified in accordance with the Department direct care training policy and must obtain such certification within 180 days of employment. For those candidates not currently in the state system as a direct-care worker for DJJ at the time of application, the top-ranking candidate after the interview phase will be required to take and pass an Ergo metric’s IMPACT Assessment and Training Test in order to be considered for the direct-care employment opportunity. This test will be used to measure the candidate’s overall suitability for working with juvenile justice involved youth. Test results will be used for a period of six months after initial testing for candidates who reapply during that period for another position for which testing is required.
