The Work You Will Do:
SLAM Lead Analyst / Office of Toll Operations/Toll Systems Support & Maintenance
The position coordinates with internal teams and vendors to resolve high-priority incidents, ensures adherence to standard operating procedures, and drives continuous improvement in toll system monitoring. It also plays a key role in emergency response efforts and supports the agency’s mission through proactive system oversight and leadership.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
Oversees and participates in the development of reports and dashboards to support toll system monitoring and decision-making. Collaborates with database experts and the Toll Business Analyst Manager and other staff to connect to data sources and replace outdated reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
Leads and coordinates the activities of other toll system analysts. Assigns tasks based on workload and priorities set by the Toll Systems Monitoring Manager. Provides guidance, ensures quality of work, and supports professional development of team members.
Performs detailed analysis on toll collection systems data and reports to identify anomalies, trends and potential issues. Conducts root cause analysis, develops impact assessments, and prepares executive-level summaries for management review. Ensures system health is monitored and corrective actions are initiated and followed through to completion.
Coordinates with internal vendors to ensure high-priority issues are addressed promptly. Reviews external vendor performance, ensures critical items are addressed, and escalates priority 1 incidents to the Toll Systems Monitoring Manager.
Works with other Roadside Toll Systems work groups and refines Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and supporting documentation for toll system monitoring and analyst functions. Identifies gaps in existing processes and leads efforts to develop solutions. Serves in times of emergency to support state response efforts and ensuring continuity of operations.
The Successful Candidate will have the following required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
- data analytics methods, toll system operations, report development techniques, performance monitoring practices, and anomaly detection
- Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- report generation and visualization tools such as PowerBI or similar platforms
Skills in:
- spreadsheet and database applications including the ability to develop reports, charts, and dashboards
Ability to:
- collect, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources and prepare summaries, impact assessments, and executive-level reports
- lead and coordinate the work of other team analysts, assign tasks, ensure that work is completed accurately and on time
- review and evaluate vendor performance, identify critical items, and escalate issues appropriately
- document and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and related documentation
- communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with managers, staff, vendors, and external partners
- plan, organize and lead multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- identify gaps in processes, recommend improvements, and implement solutions
- establish and maintain an effective working relationship with others, meet established deadlines, and maintain attention to detail under pressure
