This position will lead the identification, evaluation, and pursuit of new business opportunities that align with the Enterprise’s strategic goals while developing strategies to expand existing programs and initiate new ventures that diversify revenue streams and strengthen long-term financial stability.

Your Specific Responsibilities:

Business Development and Revenue Growth: Lead the identification, evaluation, and pursuit of new business opportunities that align with the Enterprise’s strategic goals. Develop strategies to expand existing programs and initiate new ventures that diversify revenue streams and strengthen long-term financial stability. Oversee the full lifecycle of business development initiatives from opportunity identification and feasibility analysis, through planning, contracting, and launch, to monitoring performance and ensuring sustainability. Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to align new opportunities with operational, financial, and customer service objectives. Continuously assess industry trends, market conditions, and customer needs to recommend and implement innovative revenue growth strategies. Ensure initiatives are tracked and evaluated, with progress and results reported regularly to management for decision-making and accountability.

 

Partnership and Sponsorship Development: Manage existing service plaza sponsorships and coordinate expansion opportunities. Build and maintain relationships with major retailers, chains, distributors, Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Welcome Centers and Rest Areas, and other agencies. Develop contracts, negotiate agreements, and manage compliance with vendors and partners. Research and secure promotional opportunities through strategic partnerships and contractual agreements.

 

Program and Campaign Oversight: Lead business development campaigns and related marketing, public relations, and promotional activities in coordination with internal staff and external partners. Direct creative development, production, content, and fulfillment of point-of-sale and point-of-purchase signage, displays, and campaigns. Oversee SunPass brand and product promotion, including Sunny SunPass products, SunPass Plus, and new product development. Manage initiatives such as SunPass benefit programs, MailChimp campaigns, gift cards, value-added services, and customer data analysis for growth strategies.

 

Research, Analysis, and Reporting: Conduct complex research, studies, and evaluations to identify market trends, sales opportunities, and creative solutions for growth. Develop strategic plans and sales strategies for new business models and non-toll revenue. Create, maintain, and present reports measuring program performance, sales results, and business development outcomes.

 

Supervision and Staff Development: Supervise assigned staff, providing direction, training, performance feedback, and support. Ensure staff are prepared to implement new initiatives and adapt to program changes.
