Position Summary

This is a professional position responsible for independently preforming a variety of activities related to quality assurance, improvement and enhancement of provider service delivery practices, training and education, customer service, investigations and recoupment of funds, and networking, communicating, and collaborating with others while upholding HIPAA requirements.

 

The Work You Will Do 

Tracks, investigates, addresses, and documents all service delivery grievances/complaints, suspicions of misuse of funds, fraud, programmatic violations, incident reports, protective services investigations, and follow-ups through to resolution. Ensures completion of a Plan of Remediation and obtains documented evidence of provider corrections and improvements. Makes recommendations for further action on the provider status as needed.

 

Facilities quarterly supported living meetings and maintains data for performance indicators, trends and issues. Provides or arranges for supported living training. Provides technical assistance/monitoring for supported living services. Receives referrals for supported living services. Promotes and develops supported living arrangements with providers.

 

Tracks and reviews all peer organization provider monitoring reports, addresses all findings through technical assistance/remediation, follows-up through resolution. Request plan of remediation as needed, obtains documented evidence of provider corrections to 100% of the review findings. Tracks, calculates, negotiates, and processes recoupment following the Agency’s policies and procedures.

 

Processes and approves/denies all requests for supported living start-up funds and emergency stipends. Facilitates quarterly supported living meetings.

 

Request provider records and conducts audits as needed. Writes findings summary with recommendations and performance patterns/trends. Adresses findings with provider at technical assistance/remediation, follows-up with provider for Plan of Remediation completion and obtains documented evidence of corrections/improvements to 100% of the findings.

 

Reviews and research provider billing claims. Identifies and tracks billing discrepancies and violations and takes appropriate action to include recoupment of funds. Tracks recoupment until all funds are reimbursed to the program/AHCA. Uses ABC, FMMIS, and iConnect proficiently. Reviews, investigates, addresses and documents/tracks all types of alerts within 24 hours of receipt. Follows Agency’s protocols toward resolution and full implementation of corrections/improvements. Makes and tracks referrals to Medicaid Program Integrity at Agency fir Health Care Administration and to the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit from the Office of the Attorney General as needed and conducts referral follow-up.

 

Participates in meetings, conference calls, training, workshops/workgroups, and other miscellaneous activities as needed. This includes Quadrant quarterly meetings, and Region’s Quality Management meetings.

 

Works on special projects and other assignments through the completion and meeting deadlines; performs other duties as assigned.

Direct Deposit Program

As a condition of employment, a person appointed to a position in the State Personnel System is required to participate in the Direct Deposit Program.  Rather than receiving a paper paycheck, your funds will be deposited directly into your account at your financial institution. This will be accomplished by Electronic Funds Transfer. Banks, savings and loan associations, and credit unions are eligible to accept such deposits. Retirement funds are also required to be in the Direct Deposit Program.

Background Screening Requirement
