The Florida Conservation Corps (FLCC) AmeriCorps program is administered by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection Florida Park Service with members serving in state parks throughout Florida. AmeriCorps members will serve under one of three Project areas, 50 as Project A.N.T. (AmeriCorps Nonnative plant Terminators), 10 as Project T.R.E.C. (Trail Restoration and Enhancement Corps), and 5 as Project R.O.A.R (Regional Outreach and Awareness Recruiters). The five FLCC Project R.O.A.R. members support their Project T.R.E.C. and A.N.T. counterparts in their regional district. These members are actively engaged in developing and implementing outreach and interpretation programs within state parks and their surrounding communities with a focus on FLCC initiatives of invasive exotic plant management and trail user accessibility. These members also recruit volunteers to assist FLCC Project A.N.T. and Project T.R.E.C. members with invasive exotic plant species removal and trail maintenance.


This is an AmeriCorps member position, with members required to serve 1700 hours between February 4, 2019 – December 31, 2019. This equates to approximately 35 – 40 hours per week.
