Your Specific Responsibilities:
The incumbent is part of a global public health organization and is expected to support the Florida Department of Health in Putnam County in its mission to protect, promote and improve the health of all people in Florida through integrated state, county and community efforts and its vision to be the Healthiest State in the Nation. This position is responsible for technical work installing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting multiple distributed computer systems for use by end-users including the hardware, software, and communications components of distributed systems.
Installs and implements distributed computer systems hardware, software, and communications components including enhancements and upgrades. Edits and modifies configuration files for the distributed computer system OS, applications for communicating with other computers, printers, and other peripheral equipment. Monitors the use of software and hardware through the network and provides for on-going identification and resolution of user needs.
Conducts on-site system reviews to evaluate user compliance to systems standards and procedures.
Operates equipment in conjunction with the CPA to test new programs. Conducts on-going support to ldentify methods/techniques for improving the use of existing hardware, software, and to improve written documentation. Assists the CPA ln the development and coordination of a distributed infrastructure plan (both short and long term) for the LAN.
Acts as backup for inventory manager. Assists with annual inventory using Radio Frequency ldentification Device (RFID) software and hardware. Ability to follow detailed instructions. High level of attention to details. Prepares and updates required documentation. Receives and dispositiosn property in accordance with established procedures. Record keeping. Prints, encodes, and applies RFID inventory tags. Conducts annual inventory. Provides custom inventory reports.
Serves as Representative for Audio/visual equipment.
Responsible for supporting and troubleshooting conferencing systems and components, scheduling sessions, establishing connections, and sharing computer content.
Serves as liaison with vendors in solving routine problems with the communication components. Coordinates the repair or installation of telecommunication components.
Image/reimage computers, cell phones and laptops with new images provided by Tallahassee OIT (Office of information Technology)
Responsible for monitoring, ordering and stocking of Hardware supplies as needed.
Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:
Minimum -2 years IT Desktop and Help Desk Support Experience, Windows OS 11 Support Experience, Microsoft Office knowledge and experience
Preferred - Comptia A+ Certification, Help Desk Software experience, VOIP Telephone support experience, IT infrastructure knowledge and experience
