REQUIREMENTS

 

The incumbent, an employee of the Florida Department of Health in Putnam County, works to protect, promote and improve the health of all people in Florida through integrated state, County and community efforts. This professional position serves as the Accreditation and Quality Improvement Liaison for DOH- Putnam. Coordinates all aspects of the DOH-Putnam Health Accreditation Project to maintain accreditation. Participates as a team member in the ongoing processes and improvements for maintaining accreditation across all domains and standards, serving, as an internal consultant on processes that can be improved based on national standards.

 

 

This position requires that you have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Community Health, Health Education, Community Organizing, Health Systems Management, Health Services Administration or Health Sciences OR three to five years of professional experience in the public or private sector in one or more of the following areas is required: working with community collaborative, conducting program analysis, performance evaluation, accreditation and compliance, quality improvement, community assessments, development and implementation of plans, developing processes, and data collection and/or data analysis.

 

 Must have an intermediate knowledge or greater of Microsoft Office applications including; Excel, Power Point, and Publisher, an understanding of the Community Health Improvement framework and processes and an understanding of the Community Health Assessment and Prioritization processes.

 

Preference will be given to individuals who are certified in Six Sigma, Lean Management, or Project Management(PMP).

This position requires the ability to evaluate and analyze data, organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communications. Gather information from various , sources interpret patterns and trends, and create reports with data findings to present to colleagues and community partners. Assures DOH-Putnam is well respected throughout the community through partnership building and collaboration.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office such as Outlook, Excel, Power-Point, Word; verbal and written communication
  • Knowledge of data collection and analysis
  • Ability to conduct, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document workflow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple projects at the same time under minimal supervision.
