Your Specific Responsibilities:
This position spends the majority of the time engaged in supervisory responsibilities. This includes communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees in addition to planning and directing employees' work. The incumbent will also be required to develop performance expectations, meet with staff regularly to discuss performance, complete performance reviews, maintain vacation and work schedules, ensuring proper coverage, and complete timesheets.
The incumbent manages programs and services within the Healthy Families Program guidelines. Supervises direct reports including motivating, training, providing guidance, and direction. Develops expectation and meets with staff regularly to discuss performance, complete performance reviews, and discipline action, if needed. Maintains vacation and work schedules to ensure proper coverage and completes timesheets. Ensures all staff complete required training and are offered additional training.

Additional supervision duties include but are not limited to: the ability to supervise people; provide leadership, plan, organize/coordinate work assignments; communicate effectively; and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Provides guidance to direct service staff in strategies to support families in developing realistic and effective family support plans. Provide guidance to staff in developing strategies to intervene with families who may not be making expected progress or who may be having difficulty engaging with the program. Encourages and models culturally sensitive and family centered service delivery systems. Ensure collaborating and cooperation with other home visiting programs. Provides oversight and monitors to ensure staff are following best practices to both internal and external contacts; develops or selects curriculum; prepares pamphlets, manuals, visual aids, course outlines, and other materials used in teaching to assure evidence -based and reliable sources are used. Monitors subordinate supervisor to ensure they conducts one-on-one supervision and case review with FSWS and FAW per established guidelines of 90 minutes per week.
Develops collaborative relationships with people both internal and external to the organization to ensure active communication and effective operation of the Healthy Families programs. Provide program planning and daily management of the programs including quality improvement activities. Plans budgets, authorizes expenditures, and coordinates or prepares financial reports relating to the grant. Prepares status reports of the program and services.
Provides direct case management supervision to enhance the family’s ability to improve their outcomes. This includes but is not limited to identification of delivery system deficiencies/needs, development of linkage with alternative community resources/providers, and monitoring of issues identified on risk assessments.
Shall serve as an advisor for the Healthy Family Putnam Advisory Council to establish partnerships with community agencies serving children and families. Works in cooperation with the Healthy Start Coalition and Healthy Start local staff to ensure coordinated intake referral process is streamlined. In addition, the incumbent will work with FDOH-Putnam staff on strategic planning and quality improvement projects related to Healthy Families/Healthy Start/WIC programs.
Serves as the CHD liaison on the Circuit 7 Alliance Child Abuse Death Review and the Safe Kids NEFL Coalition Committees.
Maintains (e.g., stocks, restocks, orders, and inventories) program and participant supplies to ensure enough are readily available to meet the demands for operational needs.
Shall complete mandatory trainings within the required timeframe, as deemed necessary by the Department, the Delegated Authority, grant requirements and/or Florida Statutes.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Knowledge of infant and child development and parent-child attachment
· Experience with family services that embrace the concepts of family-centered and strength-based service provision
Knowledge of parent-infant health and dynamics of child abuse and neglect
Qualifications:
Minimum - Bachelors degree with 3 years relevant experience. .
Preferred - Masters degree in Public Health or field associated with Children and Families
