Your Specific Responsibilities:
The incumbent an employee of the Florida Department of Health in Putnam County (CHD) works to protect, promote, and improve the health of all people in Florida through integrated state, County and community efforts. The incumbent is expected to promote innovation by searching for creative solutions and managing resources wisely. This position is routine manual work involving responsibilities for maintaining all areas of the Putnam County Health Department in a clean and orderly condition.
This position will maintain all restrooms and work areas throughout the buildings, including cleaning and replenishing supplies daily. Sweeps, mops floors and/or operates vacuum cleaner. Dispose of all trash. Dusts and waxes equipment and furniture as required. Washes inside and outside windows and doors. Washes all walls as needed. Follows posted schedule for regular cleanings and maintenance.
Maintains all break rooms and keeps refrigerators, sinks, tables and cabinets tidy and clean everyday.
Maintains all equipment by checking for needed repairs and making minor repairs. Reports to facilities Specialist or supervisor any and all damages to buildings, equipment or areas in need of repair.
Assists safety coordinator with inspections of safety signs to ensure proper usage and updated equipment is used correctly.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The ability to lift 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
Minimum - High School or General Education Diploma.
Preferred - Custodial Experience
