Your Specific Responsibilities:

This position works independently assisting the Community Health Nursing Director which require independent thinking and obtaining solutions. This position assures confidentiality in all aspects of professional services. This position will work with outside vendors as well as staff from within the county health department.

Maintains current information on policies and procedures for the Clinic Division. Assists supervisor in ensuring timely review of all current policies and procedures.

Maintains inventory and supplies for operation of clinic. Prepares the requisitions for purchasing of supplies necessary for operation of clinic. Ensures that materials, quotes and other items needed to complete the process are obtained. Work with outside vendors as necessary to complete the assignment.

Performs audits on laboratory records to ensure lab results are returned to health department timely. Works with outside vendors to ensure reports are returned timely. Informs supervisor when problems arise.

Prepares all work orders necessary for safe operation of clinic. Prepares requisitions to complete the work with outside vendors.

Maintains all clinic meeting minutes and ensures availability of attendance records for meetings and trainings for division.

Performs special assignments and assists with projects as necessary to ensure project is carried to completion. Working with Clinic Division Supervisors and other health department staff to obtain information and materials necessary to complete the task.

Works with clinic staff to ensure timely submission of travel and training reports. Assists with monitoring permits and licensing for clinic and lab. Provides a report keeping supervisor informed of progress on items.

Performs quality improvement review of processes on quarterly basis and prepares reports for submission to Performance Improvement team.

Performs other duties as required

Incumbent may be required to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency.  Emergency duty required of the incumbent includes working in special needs or Red Cross shelters, or performing other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural.

 

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Use of computerized software, use of 10 calculators, must be able to write and read sentences and paragraph in work related documents. Ability to count items, gather information, manage one's own time, organize items to better fit organization’s needs, be able to listen and follow directions and ask questions as appropriate. Knowledge of Microsoft windows and Microsoft office.
