The incumbent will work closely with the HIV/AIDS Public Health Services Manager to maximize utilization of the public health resources available for HIV Prevention and Hepatitis outreach in Area 2A which includes Bay, Calhoun, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson and Washington Counties. The incumbent is part of a global public health organization and is expected to support the Bay County Health Department in its mission to protect, promote and improve the health of all people in Florida through integrated state, county and community efforts and its vision of being the Healthiest State in the Nation.  Furthermore, the incumbent is expected to incorporate the agency values of Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Responsiveness and Excellence in all aspects of their work. The incumbent will come to work and exhibit an attitude of friendliness and eager customer service towards all clients and act respectfully and courteously to fellow employees and clients.

 

Early Intervention Consultant

Provides technical assistance, support and annual site audits for all registered HIV testing sites (includes state and private sector) and CBOs within the region to ensure proper testing, reporting and linkage-to-care procedures are practiced. Manages the weekly Rapid HIV Clinic at FDOH Bay County, as well as monthly rapid testing events at all seven CHDs in Area 2A as needed. Identifies at-risk populations and provides Rapid HIV Testing in the community. Coordinates locations, schedules and staff coverage for all HIV and HCV related community outreach events to include National HIV Awareness Day throughout the calendar year in Bay County and assists all counties in Area 2A in their community outreach efforts.

 

Prevention & Training Consultant

Creates and provides all HIV 101 Education, 500/501 Counselor Certification Trainings, HIV 101 Trainings and 501 Update Trainings for Area 2A (includes state and private sector). This includes providing webinars and other online training programs as necessary. Assists with the training of new staff members, including the use of HMS and other computer work tools.

 

Hepatitis

Provides Rapid HCV Screening in the community.  Plans community outreach events to include National Hepatitis Awareness Day throughout the calendar year in Bay County and assists all counties in Area 2A in their community outreach efforts.

Provides Hepatitis Education for Area 2A (includes state and private sector).

 

EARS, Time Management, Reports and Meetings

Completes all required reporting such as EARS, PTC Quarterly Report, EIC Annual Workplan, PTC Annual Workplan, Quarterly Hepatitis report, Condom distribution report.  documentation requirements, requests and assignments correctly and within allotted time frames.  Attends staff meetings, in-service trainings and other professional and staff development activities.

 

All other duties as assigned.
