Your Specific Responsibilities:
The Custodial Worker position includes work keeping buildings in clean and orderly condition. Performing cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, shampooing carpet, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. The incumbent of this position is responsible for the integrity and confidentiality of data sets under his/her control.
The incumbent is responsible for the cleaning of a multiple office medical and multiple office Dental buildings to include Administration, Operations, Diabetes Services, EPI, Clinic and the Auditorium. The incumbent will be part of a team that sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums floors of the main CHD building location, using cleaning solutions, tools and equipment. Cleans or polishes walls, ceilings, windows, sidewalks, walkways, equipment and building fixtures, using cleaning equipment, brooms, and a variety of other necessary tools. Responsible for stripping and waxing of floors. Gathers and empties trash. Dusts furniture, equipment and other fixtures. Assist with maintaining CHD janitorial supply inventory. Notifies management of needed repairs of the building and its equipment and low custodial supply levels. Will reply to custodial help desk tickets as assigned.
Will serve as backup for coverage in shipping and receiving. Assist in the delivery of daily deposits to the bank, delivery and pickup of mail at local post office, and as courier for the department.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Minimal computer skills. Independent worker.
Qualifications:
Must have a valid driver's license. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and climb at least one flight of stairs.
