The Office of Public Defender, Henry Mark Sims, 14th Judicial Circuit, is seeking to fill a Network Administrator position based in our Panama City, Bay County, Florida office. The beginning annual salary will be between $48,000 and $54,000. Salary is negotiable based on experience. Benefits include paid holidays, State insurance coverage options including health, life, dental, vision and other supplemental options as well as retirement options.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a similar field is preferred
NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR

Roles and Responsibilities
The Information Systems Manager (ISM) for the Public Defenders Office, 14th Judicial Circuit, Florida, serves as the focal point for all technical related issues for the Public Defender (PD) within the circuit. They are responsible for user support of computer hardware, software, peripheral devices, and network hardware and administration.
Additional responsibilities are support of organizational phone systems (Panama City and Marianna), building security system (Panama City), and cloud-based collaborative systems. The ISM is responsible for support of the PD’s case management system (STACWEB), serving as the overall administrator for the system. The ISM also serves as the Security Training Manager, providing quarterly and period user training on computer, network and Internet security, including malware and phishing attacks.
The ISM is responsible for providing estimates/quotes for new equipment and applications, including technology related supplies, in a timely manner.
Basic Knowledge of

Additional Notes
Good interpersonal skills are necessary, as the individual will be required to interact with various individuals on a daily basis. Ability to communicate clearly is must. When interacting with users, the ISM needs to be able to explain technical issues in a manner in which the users can easily understand. Some travel is required, as the 14th Judicial Circuit comprises a six county area; Bay, Calhoun, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, and Washington counties.
