This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located at 14-4 Panama Cirt East.

This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.
JOB DUTIES:
- Collects, verifies, and enters criminal justice data from various documents into computer systems following department rules.
- Uses judgment to analyze and update offender information in systems like MIS, NCIC/FCIC, and CJIS with standardized codes.
- Sends and receives investigative information through secure communication networks, ensuring legal and policy compliance.
- Helps staff understand and use data to supervise offenders and answers questions from authorized personnel.
- Keeps sensitive information secure, monitors staff compliance with standards, maintains records, and performs basic equipment maintenance.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Must possess two years of secretarial or clerical work experience.
- College education from an accredited institution can substitute at the rate of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours for each year of the required work experience. Vocational/technical training in an area of secretarial or office/business studies can substitute at the rate of 720 classroom hours for each year of the required work experience.
- A high school diploma or its equivalent can substitute for one year of the required work experience.
Support of knowledge, skills, and abilities should be demonstrated on the application, in the education, in the work experience, in the work sample, in the interview and/or during reference checks.

BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT
The Florida Department of Corrections requires all job applicants and volunteers to pass a Level 2 background check as per Chapter 435, Florida Statutes. This check must be completed before they can start working or volunteering.
