Office of Criminal Conflict & Civil Regional Counsel, First DCA

 

The Office of Criminal Conflict & Civil Regional Counsel, First DCA Region is seeking a full-time attorney in our Pensacola, FL office who will be responsible for a majority Dependency case load in Escambia County.  The position may require some Criminal case coverage as needed. The qualified applicant should have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Courtroom advocacy in Criminal Defense or Dependency and must be a member in good standing with the Florida Bar.  The Attorney will be required to represent clients in various types of court hearings, to include jury trials, non-jury trials, motion practice, and any appellate filings which may be necessary, and should have the motivation and ability to cover cases on multiple dockets.  Such representation of clients would include client interviews, witness interviews, preparing witnesses for trial, research and writing legal documents and filings, participating in Mediations in Dependency matters, and providing an ongoing assessment of the merits of a case.

 

The position is a full time State of Florida position with attendant state benefits with a salary range of $55,000.00 - $65,000.00, commensurate with the successful applicant’s experience.
