Your Specific Responsibilities:
The Government Operations Consultant I performs a wide range of duties under the direct supervision of the Operations & MGMT Consultant II - SES. This position assists with the management, monitoring, and enforcement for the terms and conditions of various contracts for Escambia County Health Department (Escambia CHD) in accordance with Chapter 287.057(14), Florida Statutes. Assures compliance with current Department of Health security policies by fulfilling the Information Custodian responsibilities described in Security Policy 3, in areas of responsibilities. Travel may be required.
Serves as back-up support to the Fleet Manager which includes coordinating Defensive Driving training for employees driving County vehicles, assuring all drivers hold a valid Driver License, reservation of fleet vehicles. Back-up for building key inventory and issuance.
Responsible for various business operations activities, including but not limited to purchasing goods and services for the Division using Purchasing card, working in Ariba on Demand/My Florida Market Place and WORKS.
Serves as primary back-up support for receiving and processing daily mail and courier services.
Participates in all professional training and development opportunities provided on all training days and complete all mandatory trainings.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of numbers, their operations, and interrelationships
Knowledge of laws, legal codes, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and Florida Statutes
Skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel

This position may be required to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency. Emergency duty required of this position includes working in special needs or Red Cross shelters, or performing other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural. This position will have access to records containing social security numbers in the performance of job duties. May be required to use personal vehicle for work related duties.
