POSITION SUMMARY:
Located in the Pensacola Regional Operations Center. This position handles daily administrative duties for work unit staff consistent with Department Policies and Procedures, the Records Management Reporting Procedures manual. The member will exhibit the fundamental values of Service, Integrity, Respect and Quality through performance of the following job duties and responsibilities.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties include:
- Answering and directing all incoming telephone calls. Communicate with visitors, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information;
- Logging duty calls into the Duty Call spreadsheet;
- Greeting all visitors, verifying identification, assigning visitor badges, and directing to appropriate person, office or agency;
- Monitoring the security surveillance system for security issues per regional security policies and procedures;
- Receiving, sorting, distributing, or preparing mail, messages, or courier deliveries;
- Typing form letters, reports, forms, schedules, records and other documents as needed;
- Operating and maintaining postage -service, mailing supplies, and courier service request;
- Inspecting for damage or order discrepancies prior to acceptance and completion of the receiving order;
- Operating, maintaining, and utilizing office machines in a safe and operationally efficient manner as prescribed by on-the-job training and manufacturer’s recommended guidelines; and
- Utilizing all Department approved computer software, including, but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of general office procedures and practices ;
- Knowledge of principles and techniques of effective verbal and written communication;
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic and calculations;
- Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures;

- Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments;

BASE SALARY:
- $17.33/hour

Starting hourly salary will be the minimum of the class pay range, unless otherwise dictated by FDLE’s pay policy. FDLE is a State of Florida Employer and offers a comprehensive OPS benefits package (ONLY available to OPS members who will be working 30 or more hours a week), including:

FDLE requires an extensive background process of all recommended applicants.
