DESCRIPTION:
This is routine clerical job in a Public Defender office keying, verifying and retrieving data from source documents. Work is performed under the general supervision of a higher level technical employee and is reviewed periodically while in progress and upon completion for conformance with instructions and written procedures.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
A high school diploma or equivalency and one year experience in data entry, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred candidate will have prior law office experience; however, this position is data processing legal documents and does not have attorney or client contact. Candidate must be able to work well under time constraints. Candidate must be able to work Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. The applicant must have an excellent attendance record.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The key physical requirements of this position include sitting, walking, standing, and able to lift up to 25 pounds.
