Join the State Attorney's Office and be part of a dynamic team. This office is in Pensacola, Florida and is known as home of the world’s most beautiful beaches. This is a full-time position – Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
This position will be assigned to the Gulf Coast Kids House in Pensacola, Florida. Employees assigned to the Gulf Coast Kids House are involved in the prosecution of crimes against children. The purpose of the Prosecution Support Specialist I position is to provide support in the prosecution of criminal cases. Prosecution Support Specialists work directly with the public and law enforcement to resolve issues such as the identification and retrieval of evidence. The Prosecution Support Specialist requests, compiles, researches, and analyzes intelligence and investigative information while maintaining the confidential nature of the information. This position will work directly with electronic information, including phone and computer data, for evidentiary purposes. The Prosecution Support Specialist will contact and arrange for the appearance of necessary witnesses and assist Assistant State Attorneys in the evidence review process.
Minimum Training and Experience Required: A high school diploma or equivalency and experience in the area of criminal justice, social science, counseling, public contact or customer service; or an equivalent of training and experience. Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for experience.
A background in criminal justice or related field is preferred.
