JOB SUMMARY:

This is a Tax Specialist II position in the General Tax Administration Program's, Receivables Management, Field Operations - Collection Process. The incumbent provides professional level support in coordination of service center matters to improve voluntary compliance, reduce the burden on those we serve, and continually improve the Systems for Unified Taxation (SUNTAX) and Collection Analytics system related issues. The incumbent will analyze accounts to determine options for enforcement actions and stipulated agreements along with contacting taxpayers to resolve tax liabilities and coordinates the filing and enforcement actions for Department of Revenue taxes. The incumbent possesses a strong working knowledge of the SUNTAX and of the collection, enforcement business processes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue within the General Tax Administration Program.
  • Two years of experience working within the Receivable Management Process.
  • Eighteen months experience work experience in the post warrant role performing enforcement actions including but not limited to filing tax liens, garnishment, responsible party assessment, transferee liability, and stipulation agreements.                  

SPECIAL NOTES:

  • The successful candidate will be permitted to report to their current service center location.
  • This position travels locally to taxpayers’ business locations. In addition, occasional overnight travel may be necessary for training purposes. For all travel, you will use your own means of transportation. Travel costs will be reimbursed according to agency policy. 

SALARY: The hiring salary for this position generally will not exceed $4,086.61 monthly/$49,039.32 annually.
