Location: Suncoast Region but will be housed in one of our South counties. (Ft. Myers, Port Charlotte, Sarasota,) Travel will be required to all Suncoast Region buildings.

This is not a Tele-work position and requires working in the office and traveling to all buildings in the Suncoast Region.

The General Services Specialist role entails overseeing project management, logistics support, and emergency management for the Suncoast Region General Services team, including collaboration with leased building owners on facility management matters.

 

Requirements for the Mobile General Services Specialist position include:

- Proven ability to collaborate with lessors to ensure safe and efficient operation of leased buildings.

- Demonstrated capability to liaise with Program Managers to address operational requirements.

- Established track record of hands-on project management.

- Proficiency in facilities management best practices.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Exceptional organizational and leadership abilities.

- Proficient in analytical thinking, including budget preparation and management.

- Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

- Documented experience in providing logistical and emergency management support.

 

Responsibilities of the Mobile General Services Specialist encompass, but are not limited to:

- Managing equipment and supplies upkeep to maintain health and safety standards.

- Conducting monthly building inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

- Assisting on-site leadership in identifying and implementing cost and space-saving opportunities.

- Ensuring cleanliness and adherence to departmental policies through regular facility inspections.

- Performing tasks such as hanging bulletin boards and coordinating furniture repairs.
