OPS RECEPTIONIST

Hourly Rate: $15.38

Paid Bi-weekly

Shifts may vary:  Days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Must possess the ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient in the use of computer applications: Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as required.
  • Successful Completion of a level 2 background screening and due diligence process.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working in a Long-Term Care facility.
  • Bookkeeping experience.
  • One (1) year clerical experience.
  • Highschool diploma or equivalent

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • Greets persons entering establishment, determines nature and purpose of visit, and directs visitor to specific destination, or answers questions and provides information.
  • Maintains order in the reception area provides magazines and other reading material to visitors as well as residents.  Ensure adequate lighting and comfortable room temperatures are maintained within the reception area.  Expected to remain calm in emergency situations and be capable of using an overhead PA system for announcements.
  • Always ensure Residents Rights as well as Resident confidentially is protected.
  • Prepare letters, reports, forms, and other documents, assuring that they are accurate and timely.
  • Deliver medication received via the mail immediately to the respective section.
  • Answers telephone to schedule future appointments, provide information, or forward call.
  • Transmits information or documents to customer, using computer, mail, or facsimile.
  • Analyzes data to determine answer to customer or public inquiry.
  • Records, compiles, enters, and retrieves information, by hand or using computer.
  • Collects and distributes messages for employees of organization.
  • Types memos, correspondence, travel vouchers, or other documents.
  • Files and maintains records.
  • Hears and resolves complaints from customers and public.
  • Receives payment and records receipts for services.
  • Monitors facility to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Maintains Administrative area for supplies, confidential employee documents, including mail.
  • Locks and secures area at end of shift.
  • Maintains logs of visitors, vendors, and resident’s families. 
  • Assist Business Manager with resident’s monthly accounts. 
  • Handles cash account and assists residents with letters and postage, as needed.
  • Performs other routine office duties as instructed by supervisor.
