OPS is a Temporary Part-Time Employment Position

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a valid CPR card from the American Heart Association.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have competent computer skills.
  • Successful completion of the due diligence process to include, but not limited to, a Level II background check and drug test.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with therapeutic recreation programs and activities.
  • Experience in a long-term care environment.
  • Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in Florida.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have a valid Florida driver's license.

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The incumbent will report directly to the Activities Director (Therapy Aide Supervisor).

  • Assist with developing, providing, implementation and properly documenting an ongoing program of activities designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident daily including personal contact with a varying resident population and a varied work schedule that may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of a program that improves or maintains the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of the residents.
  • Assist with developing an activity plan for each resident.
  • Responsible for maintaining all documentation of all activity plans.
  • Assist with nourishments and transporting residents to meal service areas; provide snacks within the resident’s diet plan.
  • Follow established performance standards and perform duties according to policies and procedures.
  • Observe all facility safety and infection control policies and procedures. 
  • Maintain confidentiality of residents.
  • Responsible for ensuring the activity space, equipment and supplies for the program are safe and adequate for individual and/or group activities use.
  • Perform other related duties in an effective, timely, professional manner as assigned.
  • Attend and comlete all in-service program classes as assigned.
  • Follow Residents Rights’ policy at all times.
