Your Specific Responsibilities:


Special note: Part time position (up to 29 hours weekly)


Responsible to sets up appointments in order to interview and counsel applicants to determine economic indigence for eligibility for available services. Registers and maintains client record in computer data file and electronic health record. Collects, registers, verifies, and inputs all pertinent client information in all systems modules: Client Registration, review of Family Financials, verification of Insurance Information, and recording of CSRs with accuracy. Answers the telephone, schedule client appointments, reschedules and /or follows up missed appointments by phone or text, and makes reminder phone calls if necessary. Secures translation assistance for patients needing our services.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Always promote customer service excellence through” patient first” approach at all times. Assures that customers are treated with respect and courtesy and dissatisfied customers are afforded the opportunity to discuss their concerns. Working knowledge operating computers, photocopy machine, calculators, cash register, printers, scanners, and all related equipment required by position




  • One year customer service experience in medical or dental field.
  • Valid Driver's License or State ID and access to transportation
  • Florida Department of Health is required to work before, during, and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency. Emergency duty required of the incumbent includes working in special needs shelter or performing other emergency duties including but not limited to, response to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster man-made or natural.


  • Experience scheduling appointments, having working knowledge of ICD-10 coding, CPT and CDT codes.
