Your Specific Responsibilities:


Making appointments for patients and verifying eligibility for medical insurance purposes.

Promotes good customer service. Greet clients politely. Answers the telephone, registers clients in HMS and schedule appointments.

Follow up with clients on missed appointments and reschedule as necessary and complete financial eligibility. Review HMS daily for completion of services.

Retrieve and return Chest X Ray records and CDs from outside facilities and providers. Upload CDs to appropriate computer system with accuracy. Organize and maintain records filing system.

File highly confidential medical records and always maintain privacy. Compose electronic correspondence and mail to clients as instructed by supervisor. Reviews all data for accuracy and completeness. Stock exam rooms.

Order medical and clerical supplies and maintain sufficient inventory.

Scan clients records and documents in HMS and attach to charts with accuracy.

Perform all necessary task related to Tele- Radiology. Assist with refills in pharmacy data base. Assist nurse with directly observed therapy as needed. Assist with outreach events and participate as requested.  Assist with blood draws maintain phlebotomy certification. Assist with employees PPDs and fit testing as instructed by supervisor.

Perform related work as required.

Supports organizational changes. Demonstrates flexibility in providing coverage and/or availability as needed.

Assume additional projects, duties and responsibilities as requested by DOH- area 15. Participate in cross – training skills, assist with programs and completes tasks as needed to benefit the agency.

Perform other duties as assigned. Must be flexible with time schedule.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Including utilization of equipment, required for the position:  Effective written and   verbal communication skills and effective interpersonal skills. Ability to perform basic computer operations.  Knowledge of computer data bases including Microsoft word and excel. Ability to interpret data. Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision. Strong organizational skills. Knowledge of office equipment. Must have valid Florida driver’s license.

  • Associate degree
